Overview

Perched on a monolithic rock 500 meters off the southern tip of India at Kanyakumari, the Vivekananda Rock Memorial was built in 1970 to honor Swami Vivekananda, who meditated on this very rock in 1892. Adjacent stands the colossal 133-foot Thiruvalluvar Statue, standing tall at the meeting point of three great oceans.
